PeerTube videos ranked by channel authority
Every video below carries a score derived from the PageRank of the channel that published it — a measure of how heavily the rest of the Fediverse links to that channel. Higher scores mean a channel other instances follow, mirror and federate with, not a channel with a big view counter.

How the score is calculated
PeerTube is a network of independent instances that follow one another. Treating those follow relationships as links produces a graph, and running PageRank over that graph gives every channel a weight: a channel followed by many well-connected instances scores higher than one followed by a handful of isolated servers.
The raw values are small — typically between 0.00001 and 0.0006 — so this page normalises them against the highest-scoring channel in the current result set. The leader is shown as 100.0 and everything else as a proportion of it. The exact raw figure appears beneath each score.
Why videos share identical scores
The score belongs to the channel, not the individual video. When one channel publishes several videos inside the ranking window, each entry inherits the same authority figure and they are marked as tied. Ranking by authority tells you which sources the network trusts; it deliberately says nothing about whether a particular upload was watched.
What this is not
This is not a view count, a like count or an engagement metric. PeerTube instances do not report those consistently across the federation, and the trending feed does not expose them at all. Authority is stable over weeks, so a channel near the top today will usually be near the top next month — which makes it useful for finding reliable sources rather than spotting sudden spikes. For the fast-moving view of recent uploads, see the trending feed.
